A little bit of Venice
Reuby and I went to the town centre to look for sequins. Well, no, we went out to grab a bite first THEN searched for the darn things. :P Decided to drop by Venice, since Kavitha said it was beautiful and the food was good. We weren't disappointed with the decor, but waiting for the food almost wore me out. -.- We had Italian patties, then Reuby ordered some chicken fillet thing, while I had... QUAIL! Yes, quail in a pot. The patties were good, the crust had a nice buttery taste to it, although the filling wasn't piping hot as I'd liked it to be. All in all, it was something new and I enjoyed it. :) Whether it was worth the money, I don't quite know what to say. Then there was my main dish. It came in a ceramic pot. XD Well, it was kinna 'duh', wasn't it? :P Anyways, they split the quail in half and stuffed it into the pot. o.O Like, seriously. Wow. week after spring break
Carlos and Eric were both surprisingly calm and well-behaved this week considering that we worked on their homework outside this past week. After briefly running around outside, they both sat down and finished their homework and even did a few extra math problems with them while we waited until a few more children were done with their work to begin playing outside. At first, they both ran around, catching and throwing the mini-football with the other children and also with a few of the other tutors. Even when playing after work, I felt like Carlos and Eric were better behaved outside than when they are inside. Although I can’t be certain, I feel like this change in behavior is simply because when they are outside, they have more to look forward to when they get done their work and also because they can run around with the space available, as opposed to inside where they have to walk.
